Jun 20 Father's Day: the best government policy for the family is to promote fatherhood This weekend, June 21, in Canada and the United States we celebrate Father's Day. What exactly are we celebrating? That we a have a crisis of the absent father? That too many children grow up without a father? That children raised without a father have a lot more difficulties in life? Of course none this is ever mentioned by those in charge of our institutions like schools and governments. Jun 19 Was 1865 really the end of "slavery" in the in United States? Today America marks Juneteenth Day. It's a federal holiday to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. The annual June 19 celebration began under President Joe Biden in 2019. It was on this day in 1865 that Union troops got to Galveston, Texas, to free the last enslaved people in the United States. Yes, why does this revealing and very disturbing video documentary. posted in 2024, only have some 15,000 views? It's called, "What Happened to the Gaza Freedom Flotilla: The Truth: Lost At Sea." In 2010, the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, a convoy of ships carrying humanitarian aid, attempted to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza. After refusing Israel’s request to desist, the flotilla continued on course through international waters, and Israel launched a night-raid, boarding the ships. On one of the six ships, a melee broke out between a group of activists and Israeli naval commandos. In the struggle, nine activists were shot dead and a tenth later died of their injuries. The murky details of what happened that night are laid out by the filmmaker, one of the surviving activists, unravelling how the story was spun by the media. The current official Israeli position on Gaza is for total military control, de-arm the area, and remove Hamas and their military capabilities. To do this, Israel claims …
This month, the #WeCount project by the Society of Family Planning released final abortion estimates for calendar year 2025. Unfortunately, the news is not particularly good for pro-lifers. The Society of Family Planning estimates that 1,126,760 abortions took place in calendar year 2025. This represents a 1.6 percent increase from 2024. Overall, the Society of Family Planning numbers are broadly consistent with the abortion estimates that have been released by the Guttmacher Institute. Unsurprisingly, the #WeCount figures show that telehealth abortions are playing a large role in this abortion increase. REACH PRO-LIFE PEOPLE WORLDWIDE! Advertise with LifeNews to reach hundreds of thousands of pro-life readers every week. Contact us today. Overall, in calendar year 2025, 28 percent of all abortions took place by telehealth. In comparison, only 13 percent of abortions were done by telehealth in 2023, and only 22 percent were done by telehealth in 2024. Since many women residing in states …
St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto has gone totally pride. From flying the pride flag to rainbow sidewalks to the Drag Show. "Display your pride." It's all about pride in pride. In 2024, in a letter to a Toronto city councillor the St. Michael's President David G. Sylvester writes: The St. Michael’s College Student Union (SMCSU) has requested that a Pride crosswalk with rainbow colours be painted between the John M. Kelly Library and Elmsley Place on St. Joseph Street. The University of St. Michael’s College administration and I enthusiastically support this proposal and commit to the costs associated with the project, as outlined to us, on the University’s behalf. St. Michael’s is a place that welcomes and celebrates the infinite God-given dignity of those who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. From its Inclusiveness Policy, to its Strategic Plan, to the installation of the Progress Pride Flag on the John M. Kelly Library last summer, St. Michael’s …
Bazila.

Let's be honest. If that were a SWAT raid in the US, it would have been a scene of teargas and blood. And, while I genuinely hope the best for all of the people involved, I don't shed any tears for the take-down of a "church" of the most damaging heretical sect of Christianity for several centuries: Protestantism.
The Ontario Catholic School Trustees' Association has sent another memo to its members. The Association's leaders are concerned about Ontario Regulation 176/26 – Work With Local Police Services, specifically paragraph 3(2): "A Board shall not make a local police service’s participation in a school activity, event or program conditional on the board’s approval of any material, but may request to review such material in advance of the school activity, event or program." A number of months ago representatives of OCSTA and other Trustee Associations participated in a Ministry of Education consultation session regarding the draft regulation. During the session among other comments/recommendations we stressed the importance of Catholic School Boards maintaining the right to review and in particular circumstances preclude certain materials/resources from being used and/or distributed during a school activity, event or program. We encourage conversations with your local police services …
Mark Carney’s Liberals made international headlines once again — this time for claiming that asking for the definition of “woman” is “highly offensive.” At a meeting of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Science and Research on science policy, federal research grants, DEI, and women in STEM, Conservative MP Vincent Neil Ho asked Canadian Chief Science Advisor Dr. Mona Nemer about her background as a molecular geneticist. Nemer confirmed her credentials, and Ho asked, “So you know a thing or two about X and Y chromosomes. So, I want to ask you, what is the definition of a woman?” Liberal MP John-Paul Danko immediately interrupted. “Point of order, Chair. Point of order! It is Pride Month and under Standing Order 18, which prohibits personal attacks, insults, and offensive language, the accusation — the question is highly offensive. Highly offensive. I ask the member to withdraw his comments.” The chair told Ho to “be respectful of everybody,” and he tried again. “Thank …

Remember Pastor Derek Reimer from Alberta? Back in February 2023, he was charged for peacefully protesting against a drag queen story hour for children in a Calgary Public Library. The performance is called "Reading with Royalty." Supposedly his crime was causing a disturbance, and he was forced to leave the premises. "Reading with Royalty" describes itself as "a family-friendly story time program featuring local drag queen, king, and monarch performers. Created to celebrate inclusivity, kindness, and self-expression, children are invited to dress in their best outfits or crowns to listen to stories and songs in a welcoming environment." Of course none of this "welcoming" stuff applies to those with different views like Pastor Reimer. In May of 2025, the case was tried. The verdict: Reimer was acquitted of all chargers. But the decision wasn't acceptable to the Crown. They appealed it and the case has been back in court since April 27 of this year. This is how the legal system in Canada …
Peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and wherever there is war, is the only solution. President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that America has reached a peace deal with Iran to be signed on Friday. Let's hope this is true. Trump posted this just hours ago: This Great Deal will bring Peace and Security to the whole Region. Many presidents have tried to make Peace with Iran, and all have failed before me. The Leaders of the Region have, for the first time, found a President who can help them achieve real Peace. With the opening of the Strait upon the signing of the Deal on Friday, for purposes of mine removal, oil will flow on both ends again for the Region, and the World! President DONALD J. TRUMP One of the sane voices about the war that America and Israel started against Iran over three months ago is Mohammad Marandi. He's a professor at the University of Tehran. He says the latest ceasefire agreement between Iran and the U.S. is good for all sides. Marandi believes Prime …
Former PM of Canada Stephen Harper in his 2018 book, Right Here, Right Now: Politics and Leadership in the Age of Disruption made the important distinction in society between the interests of two main groups: the "Anywheres" and the "Somewheres." The "Anywheres" are the oligarchs, the elites, the very rich who push globalism for personal interest, control and profits. The "Somewheres" are the working class whose identity is rooted in community and country. "Anywheres": These are highly educated, mobile, and affluent cosmopolitans who make up roughly 20-25% of the population. They draw their identity from personal achievements and hold globalist values. Harper often associated them with progressive political and corporate elites who impose policies disconnected from working-class realities. "Somewheres": These are more rooted, locally focused, and traditional individuals who make up about half the population. Their identities are tied to their communities, nations, and family heritage.…
The title of this post is not an exaggeration. Canada's Bill C-9, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (hate propaganda, hate crime and access to religious or cultural places) is now law. The Liberal governemnt claims the legislation aims to protect places of worship, make hate based crimes a criminal offence and criminalize anyone who promotes hatred against others by public signs and terrorism. The problem here is who gets to define the meaning of hate? The reason we say the legislation is an attack on Bible teaching and Christian belief is because the law removes the protection of religious freedom. This allow believers to quote from the Bible in "good faith" without legal consequences. Bill C-9 is a bad law, especially for Christians. Jeffrey Miskus a Lutheran pastor says this about Bill C-9: The Bible teaches us to love every human because God loves every human being and seeks to spend eternity with them. However, the Bible also teaches that not all behaviours are good and holy in …

Every Iranian — at home and abroad — has one message for Team Melli before the 2026 World Cup begins. This is not just a football video. This is the voice of 89 million people delivered directly to their team. Iran’s national football team has already overcome more than any squad at this tournament. Visa denials. Training camp relocated from Arizona to Tijuana, Mexico. Political pressure that no other nation in Group G has faced. And through all of it — they showed up. They trained. They prepared. And now they stand nine days away from making history. In this video, we break down exactly what Iran’s team has endured — and deliver the unified emotional message from Iranians everywhere to the players who carry their flag. Here's part of the Transcript: This [music] is not just a football story. This is the story of 89 million people who …
Today the liturgy celebrates The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. "The Devotion to the Sacred Heart, encouraged by medieval mystics and promoted by St Gertrude, St Margaret Mary Alacoque, St John Eudes and others, represents a devotion to Jesus in his human nature, in particular referring to the heart as the seat of the emotions." The Gospel reading from Matthew 11:25-30: You have hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to little children Jesus exclaimed, ‘I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to mere children. Yes, Father, for that is what it pleased you to do. Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, just as no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. ‘Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in …
