A Secretariat of State letter dated September 30, signed by Archbishop Paolo Rudelli and published by Diane Montagna, confirms that the Vatican rejected a request by organizers of the Ad Petri Sedem pilgrimage.
Having already been denied permission to celebrate a traditional Latin Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica, the organizers instead requested permission to enter in procession, pray above the tomb of St. Peter, and adore the Blessed Sacrament.
The Basilica’s sacristy had indicated that 1 p.m. would be possible, subject to approval by the Secretariat of State.
The Vatican’s response:
“Reverend Father,
In response to your letter of 8 September concerning the international Ad Petri Sedem pilgrimage, I inform you that it is not possible to grant your request.
Please accept, Reverend Father, the expression of my religious and devoted regards.

The enormous eyelashes, flamboyant pink lips, exaggerated feminine makeup, and bizarre clothespins masquerading as painted fingernails belong to Fr. Roberto Fiscer, a Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Genoa, Italy.
The spectacle comes courtesy of a digital filter employed in his TikTok performances. Other videos feature similar feminine disguises, transforming the priest into something resembling a contestant auditioning for a drag show.
And if that were insufficiently edifying, another TikTok video shows Fiscer wearing a sweatshirt bearing the rather inspiring message: “F—- THE NORMAL LIFE.”
Apparently, the priesthood has entered its rebellious adolescent phase.

Pope Leo XIV will receive preventive immunotherapy with pembrolizumab for at least three years to reduce the risk of cancer returning, journalist Mirticeli Medeiros of GloboNews reported on October 23. He referred to sources at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital.
The Pope will not undergo chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
The report contradicts an official statement issued just two days earlier. On October 21, the Holy See Press Office announced that the Pope’s doctors had concluded that no further treatment was necessary following his lung cancer surgery.
Surgeons removed the lower lobe of the Pope’s right lung during an operation on October 13.
According to Medeiros, the tumour measured 2.5 centimetres and tested positive for PD-L1, a protein that can help cancer cells evade the immune system.
