When Rabbis Become Untouchable: How Spiritual Authority Shielded Abuse
geopoliticsprime | Rabbi Moshe Yazdi told women who came to him for spiritual guidance that sexual acts were part of a necessary “spiritual correction.” In September 2026, the Jerusalem District Court sentenced him to 18 years in prison for offenses against two women.
His case shows how private spiritual counseling could give an abusive leader access to people seeking help with marriage, health and intimate problems. Speaking publicly could carry consequences beyond the encounter itself when families and religious institutions remained loyal to the rabbi.
In the cases examined here, criminal proceedings did not always end that authority. Convicted leaders returned to teaching or retained devoted followers, while closed communities extended control into family life and contact with the outside world.

Cardinal notes “changing understandings of gender,” says Church must discern how to change.
At Leo XIV's meeting marking ten years of Amoris Laetitia on October 8, Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão delivered a speech on the challenges facing families in Asia. He is the President of the Conference of Bishops of India.
Discussing changes in the “identity, nature and composition of the family,” the cardinal observed that “new forms of partnership and cohabitation are emerging, amid changing understandings of gender and relationships in urban settings.”
Reflecting on what the Church has learned from its pastoral work, Ferrão declared: “Pastoral work is itself a place of discernment. We don't arrive with ready-made answers. We discern together with families and, in doing so, we learn how the Church herself is being asked to change.”
In his conclusion, the cardinal stated that “there is no single stereotype of an ideal family” and asked, “What is the Holy Spirit asking the Church to change – not …

US city council opens with ‘Hail Satan’ prayer (VIDEO)
An Iowa city council meeting erupted into controversy after opening with a Satanic invocation that ended with the words “Hail Satan,” prompting a local pastor to demand that officials “reverse this curse.”
The invocation triggered an uproar after a pastor accused the speaker of placing a “curse” on the Iowa community
An Iowa city council meeting erupted into controversy after opening with a Satanic invocation that ended with the words “Hail Satan,” prompting a local pastor to demand that officials “reverse this curse.”
Matt Dalbey, an Ottumwa resident and former city council member, delivered the invocation at Tuesday’s meeting under a policy allowing residents of different religions and belief systems to open council proceedings with a prayer or reflection.
Dalbey began by addressing a “dark father” and invoking what he called the “Luciferian impulse” before concluding: “It is done. Hail Satan.”
The invocation immediately drew …

Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller declared that the Marian title Co-Redemptrix expresses “a truth objectively contained in revelation”.
He said at the De Maria numquam satis conference in Rome on October 8 that the title is neither “a misleading attribution nor an enthusiastic exaggeration.”
“This title must not be silenced because of rejection by Protestants,” Cardinal Müller said, criticizing the Protestant understanding of justification for excluding man's free cooperation in redemption.
Cardinal Müller also rejected the objection that the title Co-Redemptrix appeared only in the late Middle Ages. “The fact that a truth of faith is contained in Revelation must not be confused with its conceptual formulation,” he said, comparing its development to the later theological formulation of Christological doctrines.
“Anyone who knows the rules of Catholic theology can find no reason for scandal in the analogical use of Christological and soteriological titles,” he added.
Cardinal Müller did not …

I still remember the summer my grandmother left my brother and me at the country house with Grandpa because she had to go away for a day.
We were eight years old.
That night, we were supposed to be sleeping, but instead we were whispering, laughing, and fooling around in bed. Grandpa finally said, “Go to sleep. I’m getting you up early tomorrow. Breakfast is at nine.”
We didn’t care.
We stayed awake past midnight.
At 8:30 the next morning, Grandpa came in.
“Up. Breakfast is at nine.”
“Okay, Grandpa…”
And we rolled over and went right back to sleep.
We finally woke up around eleven.
The little storage room where all the food was kept was locked. Grandpa had the key in his pocket.
That was new for us.
Grandma would have reheated breakfast five times if necessary.
“Grandpa, what about breakfast?”
He looked at us calmly.
“Breakfast was at nine.”
We wandered around for a while, annoyed and hungry, then decided we didn’t care.
“Grandpa, we’re going down to the river.”
“Go ahead,” he said. “…

Leo XIV appoints religious sister – lobbying for female ordinations – to senior leadership position in the Roman Curia.
On October 8, Pope Leo XIV appointed Sister Mary Teresa Barron as Adjunct Secretary of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Evangelization and President of the Pontifical Mission Societies. The Pontifical Mission Societies is a global network supporting missionary activity, particularly in Africa, Asia, Oceania and parts of Latin America.
Born in Ireland, Sr. Mary became a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles. The missionary congregation was founded in Lyon, France, in 1876 for evangelization, particularly in Africa.
“Some women sense a call to priesthood”
At a Vatican press conference during the Synod on Synodality in 2024, Sister Barron argued for the ordination of women:
“Is the Spirit calling women? Because some women do sense a call to priesthood or diaconate.”
Sister Barron believes that “we have to look at broader than just can or can we not …

Suicide of a priest: Bernard Card, 73, parish priest of Sainte-Chantal Church in Dijon, France, has committed suicide (pictured left).
The Diocese of Dijon announced his “tragic death,” which occurred during the night of October 4–5 at the Sainte-Chantal presbytery.
Archbishop Antoine Hérouard (pictured right) described the suicide as “completely unexpected and difficult to understand.” According to reports citing his message to diocesan clergy, Rev. Card had recently been tired and had previously been deeply affected by the suicide of his brother.
Ordained in 1981, Rev. Card served the Diocese of Dijon for more than four decades and had been parish priest of Sainte-Chantal since 2019.
Despite the suicide, he will be buried at Sainte-Chantal on October 13.
His death comes less than two years after another priest of the Diocese of Dijon, Rev. Claude-Marie Millet, also committed suicide.

Happy Feast day to Our Lady of Victory.
Now known as Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary.
Our Lady of Victory Please pray for us.
Link to a short story.
Pope Pius V was the first to give the Blessed Mother the title of “Our Lady of Victory,” instituting devotion to her after Christian forces defeated the Ottomans at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. In 1629, France’s King Louis XIII honored Mary as “Our Lady of Victories,” dedicating a church in Paris in thanks for his own military successes. By 1837, the church, then a basilica, was the site for the Archconfraternity for the Conversion of Sinners. A special group of American visitors stopped there in 1851.
Our Lady of Victory: Histories and Mysteries

At the Vatican’s Amoris Laetitia anniversary event, Sr. Helen Alford, O.P., approvingly presented a fellow Dominican’s “provocative” description of Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman as beginning with a “flirt” — adding that “the ambiguity persists” before Christ confronts her with the truth.

UK Muslim Minister Admits Most Muslim Migrants are Rapists
“Every woman that’s in the north of France has been raped along the journey. Some of the men too.”

“You can almost guarantee that every woman that’s in the north of France has probably been raped along the journey. Some of the men too,” UK Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood admitted on a podcast. “They’ve certainly been abused and threatened.”
If a fellow Muslim woman or girl isn’t safe on a boat full of her own people, what happens to a British woman or girl alone at night in a park or a train station with one of these ‘migrants’?
What the Pakistani Muslim Labour politician put in charge of Britain’s immigration and national security policies didn’t admit was that the majority of those migrants illegally crossing on ‘small boats’ from France to England are from Muslim countries.
In 2025, 77% of ‘small boat’ migrants came from majority …

Devotion to the Holy Rosary: a weapon for the counter-revolutionary to persevere, to sanctify oneself, and to defeat heresies
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira

Our Lady of Las Lajas (Colombia)
As we all know, one great value of devotion to the Rosary is that it was revealed by Our Lady to Saint Dominic as a means for reviving the Faith in regions heavily devastated by the Albigensian heresy.
Indeed, the general practice of the Rosary revived Faith. With this the Rosary came to be, in epochs when there was true faith in the world, one of the classic Catholic devotions.
This was to such a point that not only were images of Our Lady spread throughout the world, but also the practice of this devotion became common among the faithful.
Moreover, the rosary hanging from the waist became an official part of the habits of many religious orders.
Among a thousand things that can be said in this respect, I would like to emphasize exactly this connection between the origin of the Rosary …

Anti-Church: The Crushing Force Trying to Destroy Catholicism
The Catholic Church faces its greatest test yet: its mirror opposite . . . the Anti-Church!
“I know thy tribulation and thy poverty, but thou art rich: and thou art blasphemed by them that say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer.” – St. John’s Apocalypse 2:9-10
There is an evil Anti-Church! Our opponents are among us, visible yet clandestine, shameless yet sanctimonious, cruel, cunning, and, alas, much more coordinated and quicker to the punch than today’s shrinking, confused, and desolate remnant faithful.
Oh, how vital it is for us to witness the fulfillment of Holy Scripture and Catholic prophecy right before our eyes. Yes, we should now recognize that a collection of false prophets, false shepherds, and adjacent secularist enemies have assembled into a massive conspiracy against the Catholic Church, paving the way for the eventual arrival of the …

Bishop Mutsaerts: Go to Latin Mass instead of trying to fix your own parish - LifeSite
'If there's a bad Novus Ordo Mass, you can't improve those priests, I'm afraid. So just go anywhere else,' Mutsaerts told LifeSite at the Catholic Identity Conference.
Tue Oct 6, 2026 - 3:38 pm EDTTue Oct 6, 2026 - 8:31 pm EDT
PITTSBURGH (LifeSiteNews) — Bishop Robert Mutsaerts said that Catholics who attend parishes with irreverent Novus Ordo Masses should find a Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) or another reverent liturgy instead of attempting to transform their home parish.
During a brief October 3 interview with LifeSite after his talk at the 2026 Catholic Identity Conference (CIC), Mutsaerts responded to a question about whether the faithful should try to improve their home parish with a bad liturgy or attend the TLM.
Mutsaerts, a conservative Dutch bishop who only knows how to celebrate the Novus Ordo, stressed that trying to improve bad parishes is futile. Instead, laypeople should go somewhere …
