The Canadian group Century Initiative is pushing the idea that it would be good for the nation to have a population of 100 million by the year 2100. The believe that by greatly increasing immigration numbers over the decades Canada's economy, workforce and global influence will improve. The group claims there are some people in governemnt and business leaders who support the idea. However, let's make it clear: it's not a government policy.
