Cardinal Francis Arinze, 93, spoke to PerMariam.com about the serious damage being caused to the sacred liturgy: "If a priest introduces parts of the Mass that are not approved, or removes parts that are, he causes damage to the Church. Even if his intentions were good, perhaps he thought, 'I want to make the Mass more interesting. I want to make it more personalised' – that's a mistake. He is wrong."

EXCLUSIVE Cardinal Arinze: Manner of celebrating the liturgy ‘shows what we believe’

VATICAN CITY (PerMariam) — Cardinal Arinze has highlighted the great need for reverence in the liturgy, warning that if priests invent new or unlawful aspects of the Mass themselves then they “damage” the Church.
The Church’s liturgical life is intimately linked to the practice of the faith, as summarized by the phrase “lex orandi, lex credendi” – the law of faith is the law of belief. For Francis Cardinal Arinze, former prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, this element is key, since a Mass which is poorly celebrated with irreverence, abuses or personal whims can turn people away from the Catholic faith.

Arinze, consecrated at the age of 32 to become the world’s youngest bishop at the time, has a storied career as a diocesan bishop in his native Nigeria, before being brought to the Vatican in 1984 for a long and distinguished service in the Roman Curia.

Biographical Outline
Born in 1963 in Sainte-Cécile-de-Whitton, he studied civil law, philosophy, and theology, and earned a doctorate in canon law in Ottawa.
Ordained a priest in 1991 for the Archdiocese of Sherbrooke, he held numerous pastoral and administrative roles, including parish priest, rector of a shrine, and vicar general.

In 2025, after the election of Leo XIV, Boulanger stated that the new …Bivule

8 Ways a Catholic Family of 16 Lives Debt-Free

Veteran mom Sam Fatzinger spoke about her big Catholic family’s top tips for living a financially free life.
Rob and Sam Fatzinger live in the Washington, D.C., area. They have 14 children, two of whom are adopted — nine boys and five girls — ranging in age from 9 to 35. Nearly a decade ago, the Fatzingers captured headlines when they revealed that they were living debt-free — despite their many children in college and the fact that they reside in one of the country’s most expensive metro areas.
The Fatzingers published a book in 2021 with Ave Maria Press about their experience, entitled
A Catholic Guide to Spending Less and Living More: Advice from a Debt-Free Family of 16. Now retired, the Fatzingers are helping to home-school their grandchildren.
The Register spoke to Sam about her big Catholic family’s top tips for living a financially free life.

Barnhardt Podcast: To defend Robert Prevost’s apostasy of Pachamama worship, Father Gerry Murray and Raymond Arroyo completely upend moral theology by attempting to abrogate the First Commandment. The Prayerful Posse: American Idol(atry)

Barnhardt Podcast #251: The Prayerful Posse: …
In this case, the excuse that we do not know whether or not Prevost has repented is groundless, for a public scandal demands reparation through a public retraction. Moreover, this constitutes a sin of apostasy against God and against the Faith. We are not dealing with just any sin; its gravity is underscored by the fact that it confirms we are facing a heretic who publicly committed an act of apostasy—a transgression that fully compromises him and renders him unfit to exercise the office of the Papacy. Nevertheless, since this scandal came to light, Prevost has maintained his silence, looking the other way as if nothing had happened.
REVEALED: Clergy who attended Pachamama ritual with apostate Robert Prevost support Marxist Liberation Theology.
Nor does Prevost have any excuse for having committed an act of apostasy thirty years ago, for there is evidence that—prior to this act of apostasy—he was part of a group of Marxist Augustinian …Bivule

The Pacha posse dropped the ball. I'm very fond of Fr Murray but this one is a slam dunk. I can see from his face that his brain is glitching with the contradictions. He needs to take some time out, ponder the matter and come to the obvious conclusion. It's not a nice place to be in but it is as it is - reality!

la verdad prevalece

Furthermore, evidence of this ongoing betrayal is manifested in the public apostasy of the other members of the Conocoto sect. One need only examine the Marxist agenda of Prevost's comrades.
To date, none of them has repented; on the contrary, Joaquín García Sánchez—who offered the sacrilegious, inculturated Mass that included the adoration of Pachamama—died in his obstinacy.

Maundy Thursday 2026: This church in Belgium has become a den of gluttony

German-Speaking Countries to Include Homosexual Blessings in Benedictionale

Since 2019, the German-speaking 'Conference on the Liturgy' has been working on a new book of blessings Benedictionale. The Vatican signalled its openness to the project in 2023, with completion planned for 2029.
In an interview with katholisch.de on 9 April, the project's chairman, Benedictine Father Johannes Feierabend, said that the blessing formulas are "no longer formulated with priests and deacons in mind". Instead, they speak more generally of 'leadership'.
It is still unclear whether laypeople would conclude blessings of the congregation with “May the Lord bless you” or “May the Lord bless us”.
The new Benedictionale also includes blessings for homosexual and 'loving' couples: “We believe there should be a formula for this as well,” said Fr. Feierabend.
This was the “only point that immediately caught the eye” in the Vatican.
Bishop Stephan Ackermann of Trier suggested that the Vatican should draft such a formula. However, the German-speaking working group wants to write …Bivule

Vatican Responds to Reports on January Pentagon Meeting

Today, the Vatican press speaker Matteo Bruni published a statement addressing recent media reports about a January meeting between Pentagon officials and then US Nuncio Christophe Cardinal Pierre.
Bruni claims that the portrayal of the meeting in certain media “does not correspond to the truth in any way."
He emphasized that the meeting was routine and part of the nuncio’s regular diplomatic responsibilities.
Cardinal Pierre’s discussion with Elbridge Andrew Colby at the Pentagon was simply "an opportunity to exchange views on matters of mutual interest".
The Vatican Press Office is not known for telling the truth.
The Substack.com-account The Pillar reported on April 10 that the January meeting was "tense at times, characterizing some exchanges as aggressive", yet without threats.
