During the Easter Vigil 2026 at St. Fronleichnam Aachen, Germany, Muslim religious leaders sang at the altar within the liturgy. The Diocese of Aachen is led by Bishop Helmut Dieser.
From the book, Lent and Easter With the Church Fathers by Libreria Editrice Vaticana, we post the reflection for Easter Sunday. Keep in mind that this is Easter Week and Easter season or Eastertide lasts until Pentecost Sunday, that's 50 days. We must let the meaning of Easter transform our souls and hearts. Easter: Resurrection Sunday: St. John Chrysostom, On the Resurrection, 3-5: Jesus has freed us from sin and from the power of death. He has joined what was separated by Adam and Original Sin. He redeemed the corrupt world through his Death on the Cross, and he paid the ransom for us all through his Resurrection. He has reestablished the original order before handing everything over to the Father on the last day. Let us celebrate this great and glorious feast of the Resurrection of the Lord, let us celebrate it with joy and devotion; the Lord is risen and has reawakened the whole earth. Adam sinned and died; Christ did not sin, but died. This is a new and surprising reality: the …
Epstein Files - Conflict of Interest In leading certain responsibilities of the handling of the Epstein files,The New York Timesdescribed Blanche as having an "unusual, Janus-faced position". Although Blanche's involvement with Trump, an Epstein associate, was not believed to be a conflict-of-interest, it presented a complex situation. According to theTimes, he personally signed the Department of Justice's motion to unseal grand jury testimony in the case againstGhislaine Maxwell, Epstein's accomplice, after the prosecutor who worked on the Epstein and Maxwell cases,Maurene Comey, was fired. Additionally, Blanche had a personal relationship with David Oscar Markus, Maxwell's counsel. In July, Blanche requested a meeting with Maxwell. In preparation for the meeting, Blanche allowed Markus to access grand jury testimony, a move that could have allowed Maxwell to obtain information useful in seeking an appeal for her conviction. New details about Epstein's lenient plea deal revealed in DOJ files cbsnews Jeffrey Epstein's controversial 2008 plea deal for charges including soliciting a minor for prostitution has long drawn scrutiny, and newly released details are raising further questions about the months he spent on work release from a Florida jail. Epstein pleaded guilty and surrendered to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's office in July 2008. Dozens of accusers from several states, many underage at the time of the alleged crimes, had been prepared to testify against him on federal sex trafficking charges, but the case was shelved in exchange for his agreement to plea to lesser state charges in Florida. Many survivors of Epstein's crimes and other critics of the plea agreement have called it a "sweetheart deal." After serving fewer than four months in jail, Epstein was granted a special arrangement that allowed him to leave custody for up to 16 hours a day, six days a week, as part of a work release program, …More

Because what lies inside is rumored to defy history, science, and even human understanding. Could this be the tomb of a king who was said to be part man, part god? Or is it something even more dangerous? Tonight, we’ll uncover why this mystery has left experts pale with fear.
Bishop Robert Barron has spoken out against criticism of his appearance at last week's White House Easter Lunch: 'In regard to the event at the White House, I had absolutely no control over what the other ministers said. My own contribution was focused on Jesus and the events of Holy Week--and I prayed for the country and that the President would govern according to God's will. To draw the conclusion that I am some mindless supporter of the MAGA movement is a calumny'
The Ukrainian leader honored the top EU diplomat for supporting forced mobilization, corruption, and church raids, Russia has said EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has received a prominent Ukrainian award for encouraging prolonged fighting, forced mobilization, and supporting a crackdown on the country’s largest Christian denomination, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said. Earlier this week, Zelensky decorated Kallas – widely regarded as an anti-Russia hawk – with the Order of Princess Olga, as the two discussed EU support for Kiev. Princess Olga of the Kievan Rus was the first Christian ruler of the realm, establishing contact with Byzantium in the 10th century and paving the way for the mass baptism of Rus under her grandson Prince Vladimir in 988 AD. Kallas said she was honored by the award, adding that “Ukraine has been on my mind every day since Russia started its war of aggression.” She acknowledged, however, that she had no positive update for Kiev …More
They have been striking civilian sites. Homes, towns, villages, schools, universities, libraries and so on. And no one in Iran is talking to trump. And what a terrible thing to do and say on Easter as he did. Bad enough he went golfing on Christmas day then had a weird crazy New Year's party. The man is not all there. And those who are involved with this war. America is going to be punished severely when the time comes.

The Shroud Reveals Christ’s Risen Glory The resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated as the most significant event in human history. The context of this event is traced back to the creation of angels and humans, highlighting the choices between light and darkness, truth and falsehood. The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus are seen as fulfilling prophecies and establishing a new covenant, priesthood, and sacrifice for the redemption of humanity. The Shroud of Turin, studied by over 201 scientific disciplines for 60,000 hours, provides compelling evidence of Jesus’ resurrection. The image on the shroud, created by a flash of light, is scientifically inexplicable and matches the wounds and details of Jesus’ crucifixion. Despite skeptics, the evidence overwhelmingly points to the shroud being the burial cloth of Jesus Christ, affirming the truth of the resurrection and the need for believers to live out their faith. Al Jazeera confirms the Trump administration's near total fuel blockade on Cuba is causing infant mortality to surge. Doctors are literally operating blind in the dark as life saving machines shut off. This is a deliberate crime against humanity.
Thank GOD at least Russia has sent them oil and gas. Over 100,000 tones first ship alone. Trump backed down from blocking Russia, but he backed off. Putin probably gave him a good speech on morals and GOD! Something trump doesn't know nor understand at all.
Keir Starmer and his lacklustre team of ministers are super keen for us to realise that, thanks to their brilliant energy policies (as they’d have it), the annual household fuel bill has fallen by £117 this month to an average of £1,641. In fact, it’s down only because the Government has switched some of the costs of its net-zero zealotry from our fuel bills to general taxation. We’re still paying for it, just in other ways. And it’s only worth £10 a month, which is hardly a king’s ransom. But enjoy it while you can – which is not for long. For what ministers skip over (surprise, surprise) is that come July 1, fuel bills will rise again, by around £300, taking average annual household energy bills to almost £2,000. Unless there’s a speedy end to Trump’s War against Iran, there’ll be even steeper rises in the autumn and beyond. Before then, the average British householder and taxpayer will be hit by a tsunami of rising charges, many of them landing with a thump this month, which …
Mearsheimer: No signs of quick end to US-Israel war on Iran | The Bottom Line The greatest threat to stability in the Middle East is not Iran, but “the US working closely together with Israel”, argues United States political scientist John Mearsheimer. “We have all the cards; they have none”, Mearsheimer says the exact opposite is true - “and that's why we are in desperate straits”. [Saint Catharine of Genoa – XV-XVI Century AD; Genoa, Republic of Genoa/ Genoa, Republic of Genoa; Aged 62-63; mystic, known for her work among the sick and the poor] Verses from Imitation ~ Thomas A Kempis Trust not in thy friends and neighbors, and put not oft thy soul's welfare till the future ; for men will forget thee sooner than thou thinkest. It is better to provide now in time and send some good before thee than to trust to the assistance of others after death. If thou art not solicitous for thyself now, who will be solicitous for thee hereafter. Did'st thou also well ponder in thy heart the future pains of hell or Purgatory, methinks thou would'st bear willingly labor and sorrow and fear no kind of austerity. Who will remember thee when thou art dead ? and who will pray for thee ? Now thy labor is profitable, thy tears are acceptable, thy groans are heard, thy sorrow is satisfying and purifieth the soul. The patient man hath a great and wholesome purgatory. Better is it to …More

10K views · 856 reactions | Happy Easter These wonderful depictions of the Easter story can be found in the parish church of St Mary the Virgin, Little Easton, Essex. The church at Little Easton is a typical medieval estate church, being located right next to the Manor House. The church is filled with the memorials of the local landowning family. They restored the church in the 19th century, however, some older features survive - such as the wall paintings and some medieval monuments. I couldn’t find much about the exact origin of the enamel painted windows. But I think they definitely weren’t always located in the windows here at Little Easton, perhaps they came from the nearby Manor House or perhaps they were purchased from elsewhere in the 19th century by the lords of Manor for the church. Other windows by Baptista Sutton can be found at Middle Temple Hall in London and Abbot’s Hospital in Guildford. | Great British Architecture Happy Easter These wonderful depictions of the Easter …More
